Thank you Yves Courtel for showing us this beautiful picture of one of the very best mountains in Europe: Mont Blanc.

Target in our mountaineering life for may of us, now we can see this peak from as far as 332 km., as seen from the summit of Plomb du Cantal, in the central France massif.

Crystal clear view and perfect atmosphere! Who know how far it could go if some more peaks were shown in the horizon!

As Yves quotes: “It was a perfect day, with the mountains showing up half hour before sunrise. The mountains dissapeared once the sun rose.”

For those trying to reach this summit for a similar view, it is easy to access through a 1:45 hours hike.

High quality input this time from Antoine, Canigó from St. Beaume at 302 km. A classic view that never gets old and even more with this image with superb detail and contrasts.

Antoine quotes: “A wonderful dusk that revealed a clear view of the Canigou and his surrounding, thanks to “udeuschle” I was able to know the max distance of this picture which is 302km. I was theoretically able to see mountains near 320km but they were hidden by clouds.

When we beated the World Record for distant sights almost a year ago, from the same place and at the same time, we never tought we were about to repeat it.

After days of calculation, preparation and planning we were again at the top of Pic du Canigó, just a little moments before sunrise, awating for the view that stopped the time.

Exactly at the forecasted time, and at the very certain place we were waiting it, the sun rose behind Alp-de-Haute-Provence.
